Criystalline Waterproofing of mass concrete

Range of hydrophilic crystalline powder additives , which are added to new concrete during mixing, to prevent the transmission of water and other fluids under high hydrostatic pressure conditions.

How do they work?

Once inside the concrete, the active chemical ingredients in TherGlass® Concrete trigger a catalytic reaction with the unhydrated particles and byproducts resulting from cement hydration, forming millions of insoluble crystals that reduce permeability, permanently sealing micro-cracks, pores and capillaries, blocking the passage of water and other liquids and protecting structures from corrosion of reinforcing steel and chemical attack.

Once the concrete has set, the chemical ingredients in TherGlass® Concrete will become part of the concrete's structure and remain inert until the presence of moisture triggers the reaction process again.

When cracks or fissures form due to shrinkage during setting, settling, movement, etc., water will pass through them, reactivating the crystallization process and leading to the growth of new crystal formation, which will plug and seal the cracks and fissures.

TherGlass® is completely harmless when it comes to protecting structures containing drinking water, and during installation it does not generate vapors or residues that are harmful to the environment or human health.
