Concrete is a naturally porous material, most often with micro-cracks, voids, pores and capillaries that mainly form in the early stages of curing.

The better connected these gaps are, the more permeable the concrete is and the more prone it is to damage from the ingress of water, liquids and corrosive agents.

^{However, TherGlass ®}  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS technology allows the porosity of concrete and many of its inherent weaknesses to be virtually eliminated, thereby increasing its durability.  

TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS is added directly to the concrete mix during its production phase.  

The incorporation of TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS improves the plastic properties of concrete and increases the fluidity of the designed mixture.  

TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS is compatible with standard polycarboxylate-based fluidizers or super fluidizers and lignosulfonate-type plasticizers, however, prior testing is recommended.  

Mixing Process

ADMIX HD-300 PLUS  is added directly to the concrete during the mixing phase. It is important to obtain a homogeneous mixture of the additive with the concrete, so any method used to guarantee this homogeneity is valid.

• TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS reduces the mixing water compared to standard concrete by 15%, so in cases of concrete with a low w/c ratio (≤0.40) it is recommended to add it directly to the concrete mix in its production phase.  
• Add to DMIX HD-300 PLUS , directly on the conveyor loading belt along with the aggregates at the time of loading.  
• Mix according to normal practices, ensuring complete dispersion of the additive in a uniform manner and ensuring a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
• Prevent the safety and health of workers when working on conveyor belts, as well as possible problems with dust spread by gusts of wind.

CONCRETE PLANT – DRY MIX

• Add  to DMIX HD-300 PLUS ,  directly on the conveyor belt along with the aggregates at the time of loading.
• Mix according to normal practices, ensuring complete dispersion of the additive in a uniform manner and ensuring a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
• Prevent the safety and health of workers when working on conveyor belts, as well as possible problems with dust spread by gusts of wind.

WORK - DISCHARGE INTO CUBA

• Once the concrete mixer truck is on site, ADMIX HD-300 PLUS can be added directly to the tank.  
• To do this, pour the powder in a fluid, slow and constant manner into the inlet hopper of the tank, and mix for at least 10 minutes at high speed to ensure uniform distribution throughout the concrete mass.
• Prevent the safety and health of workers when approaching the tanks.

PRECAST PLANT

• Add ADMIX HD-300 PLUS, together with the aggregates and sand, mix well for 5 minutes.  
• Add the cement and water and mix again following the usual mixing process.

Important:

• Although the concrete contains the additive ADMIX HD-300 PLUS, it is not excluded the need to make the corresponding designs for the control of cracking, detail of construction or expansion joints, as well as taking measures to repair defects in the concrete (e.g. holes, cracks and holes exceeding permissible limits, etc.).

Treatment of joints

The joints between the different concrete elements that make up the structure slab-slab, wall-wall, slab-wall, pipe passages, through holes (spades), etc., should be treated according to our recommendations according to our Technical Application Bulletin (BTA) 1.027 (TJS). TherGlass ^® Joint System.  

Cleaning

Fresh tools and work implements can be cleaned with water. Hardened materials can only be cleaned mechanically.

Dosages and Consumptions

TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS is designed to produce high-performance concretes, with the most demanding types of exposure and maximum durability.  

The dosage of TherGlass ^®  Concrete ADMIX HD-300 PLUS is 0.85% of the total weight of cementitious material.

A cement content of 350 kg and a w/c ratio of 0.45 provides concretes with a fluidity of 80 mm, strengths greater than 50 Mpa and exposure classes IlIc; Qc; Qb.

Storage

Protect from sunlight and extreme temperatures. In tropical climates the product should be stored in a cool place. In cold climates the product should be stored at a temperature ≥ 5°C. TherGlass ^®  Concrete  ADMIX HD-300 PLUS  has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture, if stored correctly and in its original sealed packaging.

Safety and Health

TherGlass Concrete ^®  ADMIX HD-300 PLUS,  is an alkaline product, contains cement.

• Irritating to skin, eyes and respiratory tract
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Use occupational safety measures such as a mask, gloves and protective glasses.
• Keep out of reach of children.
