Water and moisture are the main causes of most structural damage to buildings: water can cause efflorescence and salt damage, trigger the growth of microorganisms such as fungi, mold, lichen, etc., and reduce the insulating properties of the façade. But while the damage can vary widely, the remedy is very simple: preventative moisture protection using a water-repellent impregnation.

Furthermore, humidity impedes the thermal insulation of façades: just 4% humidity reduces insulation capacity by 50%. A water-repellent impregnation reduces the wall's water absorption to less than 80% and ensures consistently high thermal insulation. At the same time, water vapor permeability remains unchanged: this allows moisture to diffuse through the wall, promoting a healthy interior environment.
