TherGlass Concrete TOP HD
TherGlass® TOP HD develops its water-repellent properties by reacting with atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2).
TherGlass® TOP HD complies with the requirements of the new Structural Code, according to table 39.5.1.a, for the hydrophobic (H) protection of concrete in any type of environment, for the principles of Protection against Penetration (1.1), Humidity Control (2.1) and Increased Resistivity (8.1). Factory Production Control Certificate (2+ system) No. 0099/CPR/B15/0097 issued by AENOR, a Control Body accredited by ENAC No. 01/C-PR356.
Specifications and application form
TherGlass® TOP HD is supplied ready to use and should not be mixed or diluted with other liquids. Shake the container before use.
Support: The support must be strong, perfectly set, and free of dust, paint, oil, etc. If there is efflorescence, cement residue, or joint sealants, these must be removed first.
Application: The surface to be treated must be free of dust, paint, grease or any other coating that could obstruct the absorption capacity of the material.
Visible damage and cracks should be repaired before applying the treatment. It is important to protect glass, aluminum, and other polished or painted surfaces to prevent abrasion. In case of splashes, wash immediately with water and, if necessary, clean with acid.
Apply with a low-pressure sprayer. On small surfaces, a roller can be used. Normally, one coat is sufficient, but on highly absorbent materials, it may be necessary to apply another coat without waiting for the first to dry. It is best to test a small area first before applying a large-scale treatment, and evaluate the results after 7-14 days.
TherGlass® TOP HD dries and crystallizes relatively quickly. Therefore, apply the treatment without interruption to a limited area. Remove any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
Warning: TherGlass® TOP HD, like all products containing potassium methyl silicone, may or may not cause whitish deposits on the surfaces of dark-colored building materials if used outside the application instructions, so prior testing is recommended.
