TherGlass® INNER HC-850 is a powerful internal sealer for concrete, composed of a mineral and inorganic binder based on reactive silicates modified with nanometric colloidal silica and provided with a neutral catalyst, for the treatment of catalyzed nanocrystallization as solidification, consolidation, hardening and conservation of all types of concrete, permanently protecting them from damage caused by humidity, preventing the entry of water and other liquids without losing permeability.

TherGlass® INNER HC-850 penetrates deeply through capillaries, micro-cracks and pores in concrete, reacting with the salts and minerals present in it to form an extremely resistant calcium silicate hydride.

TherGlass® INNER HC-850 is certified according to EN-1504-2:2005-Part 2, for the protection and repair of concrete structures for all intended uses in building and civil engineering works, using the impregnation method (I) for principles 1 Protection against penetration and 5 Physical resistance/surface improvement. Factory Production Control Certificate (2+ system) No. 0099/CPR/B15/0097 issued by AENOR, Control Body accredited by ENAC No. 01/C-PR356

TherGlass® INNER HC-850 complies with the requirements of the new Structural Code, tables 39.5.1.b and 39.5.1 requirements for impregnations and coatings in terms of direct adhesion (≥2.0 N/mm2 – rigid systems), degree of penetration (>10 mm), abrasion resistance and impact resistance (Class III > 20 Nm) according to article 39. Protection systems for improved durability.

  • TherGlass® INNER HC-850 is applied indoors and outdoors, on floors, walls and ceilings for:
  • Mineralization, densification and consolidation of concrete surfaces (whether mass, prefabricated, cellular, etc.), plaster, mortar, tiles, facing bricks, clay tiles and pots, natural stone, etc.
  • Consolidating and waterproofing treatment for gutters, planters, parking lots, basements, elevator pits, swimming pools, ponds, tanks, concrete pipes, tunnels, channels, foundations, retaining walls, pillars, etc.
  • Chemical barrier, against rising damp by capillarity.
  • Hardener-repairer for brittle concrete surfaces that are subject to severe wear, tear, or aggressive liquids.

Specifications and Application Form

TherGlass® INNER HC-850 is supplied in 25 kg plastic bottles, ready to use, and should not be mixed or diluted with other liquids. Shake the container before use. The surface to be treated must be free of dust, paint, grease, or any other coating that could impair the material's absorption capacity.

Repair of brittle or cracked pavements:

  • Wet the support thoroughly.
  • Apply one coat of TherGlass® INNER HC-850 using a brush or low-pressure sprayer.
  • Apply a layer of powdered cement using a stiff-haired brush, thoroughly filling in any cracks, fissures, and holes.
  • Apply a second coat of TherGlass® INNER HC-850.

Repairing dampness:

  • Remove damaged plaster.
  • Wet the support thoroughly.
  • Apply one coat of TherGlass® INNER HC-850 using a brush or low-pressure sprayer.
  • Apply a layer of cement grout or spread the cement powder with a stiff-haired brush.
  • Apply a second coat of TherGlass® INNER HC-850.
  • At the slab-wall joints, open a diagonal groove (45º) 4 to 6 cm deep and 2-3 cm wide and fill with TherGlass® INNER HC-850 and cement, or directly with TherGlass® BASE COAT, finishing with a half-round with TherGlass® Concrete REPAIR BASE TC mortar.

Barrier against rising damp by capillarity.

  • Remove plaster in the area affected by moisture
  • Make a double row of holes with three bobbins, at a height as close to the ground as possible, going down to about 8-12 cm from the opposite side of the wall.
  • The diameter of the holes will be 25 to 30 mm, with a separation between them and between rows of 15 cm, at an inclination with respect to the wall of about 30 to 45º.
  • Once the drilling work is complete, the holes will be cleaned using an air compressor.
  • Vacuum or blow air out the dust, saturate the holes with water, and wait for the wall to absorb it.
  • Fill with TherGlass® INNER HC-850 until saturated.
  • Once dry, plug the holes with TherGlass® REPAIR BASE TC.

Apply with care, as spray mist can be far-reaching and cause damage to glass.

On horizontal concrete surfaces, TherGlass® INNER HC-850 can be poured and spread with a rubber broom, brush or polishing mop.

Avoid puddle formation during application and, if necessary, remove any excess, otherwise shiny or white patches may form, which would prevent the adhesion of subsequent coatings.

Both during application and for the following 24 hours, the temperature must be ≥ +5 ºC. Do not apply in full sun.

TherGlass® INNER HC-850 dries and crystallizes relatively quickly. Therefore, apply the treatment without interruption to a limited area. Remove any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
